Prom time

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

Bloomfield has their prom last Saturday night.  My good luck has worked once again.  Our babysitters have all won royalty of some sort at school.  3 years ago our babysitters were nominated to homecoming court and one of them one won the queen crown.  Two years ago our babysitter was nominated for homecoming queen and won.  Last year our senior babysitter was nominated to homecoming court.  Kylie didn’t win queen but she got Prom Queen Saturday night.  Only royalty can babysit my sons!!!  Here is Kylie with the Prom King

There were some really pretty dresses.  Here are some of my favorites.  I like this green dress.  Ashley is my neighbor.  I really like the pink dress in the background too!

And I liked this dress but I liked that she had her little brother as her escort.  It was very sweet!!!

Puddle Time

Monday, April 16th, 2012

Marshall and Peyton were very happy to have all this rain.  It meant they get to play in all the puddles in their rain boots

Peyton is getting use to walking right thru the water

And Marshall seemed to think the puddle needed more water so he had his water gun out.

mmm…chocolate

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

We made a cake this weekend and it needed chocolate frosting.  We usually only make vanilla or funfetti cake so it was a treat to have chocolate frosting.  The boys REALLY liked the frosting, as you can see!

I wanted a picture with my mom and myself infront of the heifers…My mom seemed to think I needed to enjoy the hay like the heifers behind us.  Oh she is a funny lady!

Color!

Friday, March 16th, 2012

Like I said, I didn’t want to go with a dark color for the basement.  We stayed with the color we had in the new addition part of the basement.  It is called Colonial Cream.  Ta-Da… all that is left to do is put the ceiling tiles in and get some carpeting for the floor!

It has a slight pink hue in the pictures but it is definately a cream color in person.

painting

Wednesday, March 14th, 2012

well I am on vacation…but it’s a working vacation!! We are ready to paint the basement. But first we had to blow all the sheet rock dust off the walls.  Thus the lovely mask I was caught wearing.  It really didn’t do the trick that well cause when I took it off, I had a bunch of white dust around my nose!

But we got two coats of primer on today…and will get the color on tomorrow.  Although it won’t look too much different.  We got a color called Colonial Cream, which is a nicer way of saying eggshell, I think!  But I didn’t want anything too dark for the basement.  It looks streeky in the picture but that is from the sunlight that was coming in.  I hope anyway!
